Having hundreds of choices of neighborhoods is one of the really great aspects of moving to Atlanta. In every county, you can find a wide range of communities with options covering just about anything you may be interested in.

The counties north of the I285 perimeter which include Hall, North Fulton, Cobb, Cherokee, Forsyth and Gwinnett counties offer everything ranging from starter townhome communites to multi-million dollar private gated golf communities, and all things in between. It’s all here.

Most neighborhoods in the Atlanta metro include tennis courts and a community clubhouse and pool. The north metro area also has about 30 golf communities. These of course, include a golf course, as well as more substantial tennis amenities, and one or more pools.

If you are nearing or at retirement age and looking for a 55+ community, there are quite a few of those to consider in the north Metro area as well. There are even some in the golf course communities, like the Windereme Murfield neighborhood.
